Meet Jason Alderson, the Owner and Lead Instructor of Living Inspired

Hi, I’m Jason Alderson, the owner and lead instructor of Living Inspired Mental Health Training.

I have been a member of the Canadian Forces for over 18 years and during that time, I have been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. I know first-hand the challenges and struggles that come with mental health issues, both personally and professionally.

That’s why I became a Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR) Instructor and Unit Coordinator for several hundred soldiers in my unit. I wanted to help them cope with stress, trauma, and adversity, and build resilience and well-being.

To further my knowledge and training, I attended Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training. MHFA is the support provided to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis.

I was so impressed by the MHFA course that I decided to become a certified instructor myself. Since then, I have been teaching MHFA courses to companies, organizations and government agencies across Ontario.

My mission is to empower you with the skills and strategies to recognize the signs of mental distress and provide effective help. My vision is to create a culture of compassion and support where everyone can thrive mentally and emotionally.
